As a parent of a child in our school you are automatically a member of our Parents Teachers Association (PTA) – a voluntary body that supports the school on both social and financial levels. Active participation is welcomed and much appreciated by staff and children alike.
The PTA is run by a committee elected at the Annual General Meeting at the beginning of each school year, and members usually meet once every six weeks to organise fundraising and social activities. PTA fundraising events include the regular junior discos (for children in Lower and Upper Key Stage 2), the Christmas and Summer Fayres, car boot sales and many other activities, such as quiz nights and pamper evenings.

PTA 200 Club
You can also become a member of the Francis Baily PTA 200 Club (for as little as £12 a year, you have the chance of winning up to £50 four times a year, as well as fundraising for the PTA).
The Giving Machine
We have signed the school up as a recipient for this free cash donation scheme. All you have to do is register as a giver (this only takes a couple of minutes) and choose Francis Baily. Then follow the links through to your shop of choice and shop as normal. The shop will make a percentage donation and it doesn’t cost you a penny more. Participating shops include amazon, Asda, Argos, John Lewis, M&S, B&Q, Tesco, Waitrose, Currys… and many more!
We have partnered up with a new website for name stamps, through which we can obtain 30% cashback on all orders by placing the code FRANCISB in the PTA/School Cashback box on the checkout page. A great way of raising funds for the school, without doing too much! The website link is www.stamptastic.co.uk.

Nearly New Uniform Shop
Open every Friday from 3pm in the small hall. Donations welcome.
Did you receive any unwanted gifts over Christmas? Did Grandma send the same scented smellies that she sends every year? Looking for a place to put them? Every Friday, you can donate unwanted (unopened) gifts into the donation box which will go towards the Secrets Room at the Christmas Fayre. The Donations box will be located in the small hall with the Nearly New Uniform Shop and we will be happy to redistribute these gifts.
